Those wishing to nominate individuals and teams for the County Council sponsored Donegal Sports Star Awards must do so by this Friday November 28th. As the committee will be selecting the ‘Hall of Fame’ winner no nominations are being sought in this category.
A brief summary only of achievements will suffice. Pictorial and DVD footage is also required. Nominations can be done online from the nominations page and emailed to [email protected] or by completing a simple nomination form, which can be downloaded and posted to Paul McDaid, Post Office, Ramelton. Those not using on-line can simply post their nominations to Paul McDaid, Post Office, Ramelton.
It is the 39th Donegal Sports Star Awards, which has annually been recognizing the successes and achievements of teams and individuals who have excelled at local, county, provincial, national and international level. The awards first took place in 1976 with the Milford Inn the first venue to host the function where the special guest was the legendary Irish Olympian athlete Ronnie Delaney.
The committee is delighted that Donegal County Council will again be the exclusive sponsor of the Donegal Sports Star Awards, which take place in the Mount Errigal Hotel on January 30th which is the last Friday of the month.
